30-Year-Old Jason Velasquez Arrested in Houston, TX Accident

Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-45

A tragic accident occurred on December 5 in Houston, Texas, when a white SUV driven by 30-year-old Jason Arvin Velasquez struck multiple vehicles on the northbound I-45 access road at Broadway, killing a Harris County woman. Velasquez fled the scene, allegedly carjacking two vehicles and firing shots before being arrested near downtown without incident. He faces felony intoxicated manslaughter and failure to stop charges. Houston PD is investigating. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
