Police say an 83-year-old man driving a pickup failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by Thompson. Medics transported Thompson to a nearby hospital for treatment. No update was released on her condition. Investigators continue to examine the circumstances of the wreck, and no charges have been filed so far.
