29-Year-Old Regino Mariscal Killed in Merced, CA Accident

DUI crash on G Street claims life of local motorcyclist

A tragic accident occurred on May 3 in Merced, California, when 29-year-old Regino Mariscal Jr. was killed after being struck by a vehicle. The incident happened around 5 p.m. at the intersection of G Street and East Olive Avenue. Mariscal, a Merced resident, was found in the roadway and died at the scene. Authorities later charged the driver, a Texas woman, with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. She is set to appear before a judge on Wednesday. A GoFundMe page has been created to cover funeral expenses. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
