A tragic accident occurred on August 7 in Rancho Cucamonga, California, when a 16-year-old girl was critically injured after being struck by a Ford Ranger pickup near Cherry Avenue and Walnut Street. Authorities say 29-year-old Alfredo Garcia Venegas fled the scene but was later arrested. The victim, an Inland Empire High School student, was riding her bike to school at the time. She remains hospitalized in critical condition. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim for a full recovery.
