A 64-year-old Jacksonville man was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident when he was hit by a Chevy Silverado driven by 28-year-old Kent Necessary on Park Avenue. The victim was taken to Orange Park Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Necessary fled the scene after the accident but was later located and arrested. The suspect faces charges of driving while license suspended, resulting in death/serious injury and failing to stop at a crash involving death.
