27-Year-Old Devonte Jones Killed in Torrance, CA Accident

Pedestrian struck by Jeep early Thursday morning

A tragic accident occurred on May 1 in Torrance, California, when 27-year-old Devonte Jones was struck and killed by a vehicle. The incident happened at around 5:25 a.m. on Crenshaw Boulevard near 235th Street when a 2013 Jeep traveling south crashed into Jones. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, a 70-year-old man, was unhurt. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the case was urged to call the Traffic Division at 310-618-5557.
