26-year-old Emily Russell Injured in Hale Center, TX Accident

Head-on collision near mile marker 31

A tragic accident occurred on December 20 in Hale Center, Texas, when 26-year-old Emily Russell, was injured in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 27 near mile marker 31 around 8:50 p.m. A vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes collided head-on with her car. Russell was taken to University Medical Center. One of the other drivers, an 82-year-old woman, was also injured. Authorities are investigating.
