26-Year-Old Armando Mendoza Arrested in Salinas, CA Accident

Suspected DUI driver causes head-on collision with ambulance on East Boronda Road

A tragic accident occurred on May 2 in Salinas, California, when 26-year-old Armando Ortiz Mendoza allegedly crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an ambulance responding to an emergency. Authorities said two medics inside the ambulance were injured and taken to local hospitals for treatment. Mendoza was also injured and later booked into jail on felony DUI charges. Another injured person involved in the crash, Armando Mendoza, was also hospitalized. The investigation is ongoing.
