25-Year-Old Ian Edelman Injured In Brickell, FL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, December 18 around 1:30 AM in Brickell, Florida. 25-year-old Ian Edelman was one of multiple victims seriously injured after they were struck by a motorist involved in street racing near South Miami Avenue and 7th street. Edelman is a second-year dental student at Columbia University in New York and remains in critical condition. An initial investigation shows that three vehicles were street racing when one of the motorists lost control for undetermined reasons and struck the victims. Anyone with information is asked to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. The crash remains under investigation, and authorities have not released additional details about the drivers involved. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
