24-Year-Old Ya Chavis Injured In Elyria, OH Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on May 30th in Elyria, Ohio. 24-year-old Ya Niese Campbell Chavis was seriously injured when a passenger vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer along State Route 57 near the interchange of Interstate 90. The wreck occurred when the driver of a Toyota disregarded a red traffic signal and struck a Freightliner. Chavis and two other passengers in the Toyota were transported to Elyria hospitals with serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation by OSHP. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim.
