A tragic accident occurred on September 3 in Van Nuys, California, when 24-year-old Brethya Parada was struck and killed by a Honda Civic at Van Nuys and Burbank Boulevards. Authorities said the Honda ran a red light around 1:45 a.m., hitting Parada’s Mercedes-Benz on the driver’s side. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
