24-Year-Old Alexis Velez Sanchez Killed in Downey, CA Car Accident

Two-vehicle crash on Golden State Freeway

A tragic accident occurred on November 26 in Downey, California, when 24-year-old Alexis Velez Sanchez was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway near the Lakewood Boulevard off-ramp. Authorities found Sanchez and another victim near a gray car, both pronounced dead at the scene. A second vehicle was blocking the middle lanes. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
