The driver was speeding, and allegedly under the influence when he ran a red light and caused a collision . The driver, 26 year old Jovanni Padilla, was charged with drunk driving, vehicular assault, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without a license, and reckless driving. Mr. Martin was transported to Kings County Hospital where he tragically later die.
