23-Year-Old Gerardo Cruz Killed In Warren Township, IL Accident

The accident remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, March 6 at around 9:30 PM in Warren Township, Illinois. 23-year-old Gerardo Cruz was sadly killed when he was involved in a crash with  a speeding driver on Stearns School Road and Route 45. Mr. Cruz was the passenger in an Audi Sedan that was speeding west, when it lost control and struck a guard rail. He was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center where he tragically passed away. The Lake County Sheriffs Office Technical Crash Investigations Unit continues to investigate the accident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
