22-Year-Old Joel Ellestad Killed in De Kalb, TX Accident

Passenger dies in head-on collision south of De Kalb

A tragic accident occurred on July 11 in De Kalb, Texas, when 22-year-old Joel Ellestad was a passenger in a Dodge Charger involved in a head-on collision about four miles south of the city. Authorities said a Nissan Altima crossed the centerline and struck the Charger. Ellestad died at the scene. Three other people also lost their lives in the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
