22-Year-Old Edwin Valdez Killed in Mesquite, TX Accident

Construction worker struck by police vehicle on Interstate 635

A tragic accident occurred on June 23 in Mesquite, Texas, when 22-year-old Edwin Valdez was guiding a crane across Interstate 635 at about 11:40 p.m. Authorities said he was struck by an off-duty police vehicle working traffic control for a construction company. Valdez was transported to a hospital, where he later died. The accident remains under investigation. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
