Victim Dies Following Hit-and-Run Crash on El Mirage Road

A tragic accident occurred on August 3 in El Mirage, California, when 22-year-old Carlos Ortega Jr. of Ontario was killed in a hit-and-run crash. Around 8:30 a.m., Ortega’s Honda Civic overturned off El Mirage Road after swerving to avoid a Subaru Forester that made an unsafe turn. The Subaru’s driver, 43-year-old Teri Leeanne Jones, allegedly fled but was later arrested. Ortega later died at a hospital. A GoFundMehas been created for his family.
