A tragic accident occurred on August 20 in San Marcos, California, when 22-year-old Ricky Cruz was struck by a minivan near Cox Road and Mulberry Drive. Cruz was hospitalized and fell into a coma but has since regained consciousness. Authorities identified the driver as 42-year-old Manuel Leon Villanueva, who faces DUI charges.
