A tragic accident occurred on June 29 in Cathedral City, California, when a bicyclist was struck from behind and injured in a hit-and-run crash. The incident happened around 2:40 p.m. on Date Palm Drive. The victim was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. The driver, 22-year-old Miguel Vallejo, fled on foot but was later arrested.
