Passenger dies in alleged DUI head-on crash at Avenue 44 intersection

A tragic accident occurred on April 26 in Indio, California, when 22-year-old Elvis Ponce Jr. was killed in a head-on collision at Avenue 44 and Arabia Street. Authorities said he was a passenger in a Toyota Corolla that crashed into a Honda Accord. Ponce died at the scene. Several others were injured, and the suspected impaired driver was later arrested.
