20-Year-Old Niya Maman Charged in Houston, TX Accident

Woman charged with intoxicated manslaughter after fatal freeway collision

A tragic accident occurred on July 19 in Houston, Texas, when 20-year-old Niya Maman allegedly drove an impaired Ford Mustang that struck an Acura on the Southwest Freeway at about 1:45 a.m. A 26-year-old woman inside the Acura died at the scene. Maman was arrested and charged with intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle. The accident remains under investigation.
