Pedestrian struck on Sioux Road; driver arrested on intoxication manslaughter charge

A tragic accident occurred on Feb. 25 in Alamo, when 20-year-old Elian Ramirez was killed in a DUI pedestrian accident in the 1000 block of Sioux Road. Authorities said the driver fled but was later identified and arrested on an intoxication manslaughter charge. Ramirez was found deceased at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
