Gomes was a passenger in a 2005 Acura that crashed on I-95 south near Exit 88. According to preliminary findings, three people were traveling in the vehicle, traveling in the center lane of I-95 when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to spin. The car then traveled off the road and into the median, striking a tree. State police are investigating the crash, and any witnesses to the tragic accident are urged to Troop E barracks in Montville at (860) 848-6511.
