19-Year-Old Josue Melendez-Florez Killed In Melville, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, September 6 at around 10 PM in Melville, New York. 19-year-old Josue Melendez-Florez was tragically killed when the vehicle that he was a passenger in collided with an SUV on the Long Island Expressway. The victim was traveling in a Honda driven by 18-year-old Erick Alvarado that collided with a Mazda. The force of the collision sent both vehicles off of the roadway and into nearby woods. Melendez-Flores was rushed to an area hospital where he was tragically pronounced dead. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
