UC Santa Cruz student dies after vehicle plunges into ocean

A tragic accident occurred on August 13 in Santa Cruz, California, when 19-year-old Alli Singh was killed after a vehicle drove off a cliff into the Pacific Ocean near Steamer Lane. According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, Singh was rescued from the submerged vehicle around 12:50 a.m. and transported to a medical facility, where she later died. A second occupant suffered minor injuries. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
