18-Year-Old Jose Manuel Velasquez Killed In Chicago, IL Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on March 8 in Chicago, Illinois. 18-year-old Jose Manuel Velazquez was identified as one of three people who lost their lives in a drag racing collision along South Halsted Street. The driver of the vehicle lost control and struck a pole and then a wall in the 10000 block. The vehicle ultimately caught fire and became engulfed. Jose was one of three victims pronounced dead at the scene. The CPD Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
