18-Year-Old Irvin Cortes Killed in Lubbock, TX Accident

Pedestrian struck during multi-vehicle crash

A tragic accident occurred on November 15 in Lubbock, TX, when 18-year-old Irvin Cortes was fatally injured during a multi-vehicle collision at MLK Jr. Boulevard and E. 10th Street. Cortes had stepped out of a black Audi after an initial crash when he was struck by a GMC Yukon. He later died at UMC. The investigation is ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
