18-Year-Old Daniel Morales Injured In Ventura, CA Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, December 18 in Ventura, California. 18-year-old Daniel Bernal Morales was seriously injured when the vehicle he was a passanger in was involved in a wrong way collision on Highway 101. The victim was heading home when he was struck by a Honda accord driven by 29-year-old Jesus Calles. The Honda was traveling southbound in the northbound lane when the head on crash occurred. The victim was transported to Los Robles Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the vehicle Daniel was traveling in, was tragically killed in the wreck. Calles was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. The crash remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to please contact the CHP at 805-662-2640.
