Ms. Soto lost control of her vehicle and it struck the center divider becoming disabled in the left lane. Soto and three teenage passengers crossed the freeway toward the shoulder. Along the way Ms. Soto was struck by a vehicle that continued without stopping. Ms. Soto sadly died from injuries sustained in the crash.
