16-Year-Old Darrius Jones Killed In Mount Sinai, NY Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, September 2nd in Mount Sinai, New York. 16-year-old Darrius Jones, and his brother, were both tragically killed in a two vehicle wreck on County Road 83. According to Suffolk County Police, Darrius Jones was operating a Mustang southbound, at the same time that a Jeep SUV was being driven by 28-year-old Alaina Dimaria. The Mustang attempted a left turn onto Canal Road and collided with the Jeep. Jones, a student at Longwood High School, was rushed to Stonybrook University Hospital, where he tragically later died.
