Teen ejected after crash near Wright Patman Lake

A tragic accident occurred on August 1 in Bowie, Texas, when 16-year-old Caitlyn Sponholz, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Corps Road 2. The motorcycle, driven by a 19-year-old man, struck a guardrail at high speed. Sponholz, of Queen City, was ejected and died at the scene. She was entering her junior year of high school. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
