14-Year-Old William Allen Injured In Spartanburg, SC Accident

Victim was son of Spartanburg Deputy

Tragic accident that occurred on Saturday, January 9 at around 6:50 PM in Spartanburg, South Carolina. 14-year-old William Allen was struck and injured while crossing Fernwood Glendale Road. He was hit by a 2015 Chevy pick up. William reportedly suffered a broken arm, blood in his lungs, a broken pelvis, a laceration on his liver, and several broken vertebrae. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The name of the driver has not yet been released. A GoFundMe page was started to help the young victims family with medical costs. William is the son of Deputy Edgar Allan of the Spartanburg County Sheriffs office. We send our thoughts and prayers to this young victim and his family.
