14-Year-Old Melanie Valencia Killed In Northfield, MN Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on August 4th in Northfield, Minnesota. 14-year-old Melanie Valencia lost her life two days after her bicycle was struck by a motorist at Jefferson Parkway. Melanie, who would have been a freshman at Northfield High School this fall, was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center. She passed away on Thursday. A GoFundMe page was set up to help Melanie's family with funeral expenses. The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
