13-Year-Old Kayla Smith Killed In Athens, GA Accident

Allegedly impaired driver kills middle school student

Tragic accident that occurred on Sunday, January 31st just before 11 p.m, in Athens Georgia. 13-year-old Kayla Smith, was tragically killed by a wrong-way driver on the Highway 10 loop near Mitchell Bridge Road. 25-year-old Molly A. Tulley was driving a Hyundai Genesis the wrong way, when she collided head on with a Dodge Charger driven by 20-year-old Yanelis M. Figueroa. Authorities reported that they believe the driver was impared. Kayla, a student at Hilsman Middle School was a passenger in the Charger. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Kayla's family during these tragic times. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of this tragically young victim.
