A tragic accident occurred on March 13 in Santa Maria, California, when 1-year-old Lailani Diaz Vazquez was killed after being struck in a crosswalk with her mother. Both were hospitalized, where the child died and her mother remains critically injured. Police cited a possible right-of-way violation. A GoFundMe account has been set up to support the family.
