Sylvester Hill Injured In Savannah, GA Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on Tuesday, June 15, at around 11 AM in Savannah, Georgia. Sylvester Hill was injured in a crash caused by a reckless driver who was fleeing police on Victory Drive. Officers attempted to pull over 25-year-old Jerald Johnson, when he fled from them at a high rate of speed. The suspect ran a red light before crashing into the victim's Buick Encore. Hill's vehicle spun and traveled across all lanes of traffic, crashing into a Savannah College of Art and Design building in the 200 block. A three-year-old passenger in Johnson’s vehicle was also injured in the crash. Hill and the child were both taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Johnson was arrested on several charges including fleeing, reckless driving, serious injury by motor vehicle, too fast for conditions, disregarding traffic control device, driving with a suspended or revoked license, failure to register vehicle, no proof of insurance, failure to stop at a stop sign, marijuana possession, cruelty to children second-degree and felony habitual violator.
