Stephen Kneeland was killed by an allegedly drunken wrong-way driver on West Ridge Road. According to the Monroe County Sherriff’s Office, a Ford F-150 pickup driven by James Jacobs was headed the wrong way in the westbound lane when Jacobs’ vehicle collided with the victim's Nissan Pathfinder. Kneeland was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Jacobs was charged with second-degree vehicular manslaughter, a felony, and driving while intoxicated. He was taken into custody and awaits a preliminary hearing.
