Sherie Butler Killed In Tyler, TX Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on May 21 in Tyler, Texas. Teenager Sherie Butler lost her life when the vehicle she was a passenger in crashed along FM-2661. A 2017 Nissan Altima, driven by a 19-year-old Dallas woman, was traveling north when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. The driver and two passengers were killed in the crash. One of the deceased passengers was identified as 17-year-old Sherie Butler. DPS continues to investigate the crash. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
