Samantha Hayes Killed In McCurtain, OK Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on September 29 in McCurtain, Oklahoma. Samantha Hayes was tragically killed after she was struck by a small plane while on a lawn mower at the Broken Bow Airport. A 1972 Bananza A36, piloted by a 70-year-old man, was coming into land on the runway. The pilot descended the plane, landed, and after touching down, he saw Hayes on the lawn mower. Investigators said that the pilot then tried to pull up the plane, but the wing struck Hayes in the head. Sadly, Hayes was pronounced dead at the scene. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
