Ronald Baker Killed In Durand, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on July 30th in Durand, Illinois. Ronald Baker lost his life when his vehicle was struck by an alleged drunken driver along Freeport Road. Billy Adams was arrested in connection with the crash after his vehicle crossed the centerline and crashed into the victims Chrysler Grand Caravan. Baker was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies arrested Adams on suspicion of aggravated DUI causing death, driving while under the influence, and leaving the scene of an accident. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.  We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
