Robert O'Connell Killed In Kankakee, IL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on Thursday, August 12 at around 5 PM in Kankakee, Illinois. Robert O’Connell was tragically killed when his vehicle was struck by an Amtrak train at 12000 North Rd. and Route 50. The victim was rushed to AMITA Health Saint Mary’s Hospital where he tragically later died. The crash remains under investigation and we send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
