Nycole Tate was fatally injured when she was struck by a hit-and-run motorist near County Road 65 and Airport Road. Sadly, Tate was pronounced dead at the site of the crash. Investigators say they received a call later that night from a 42-year-old man claiming the 2008 BMW he was driving had hit a deer. Subsequently, authorities connected evidence collected at the scene with damage to the BMW and arrested the driver. He was charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident causing death.
