Pedestrian struck on Garfield Street; driver later taken into custody

A tragic accident occurred on February 15 in Laredo, Texas, when Maria Cisneros was injured after being struck by a vehicle on Garfield Street near Murillo’s Tire Shop around 8:24 p.m. She sustained a head injury and was transported to Laredo Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver fled but was later taken into custody after contacting authorities. Officials continue to investigate the incident. We send our thoughts and prayers to the victim and her family.
