Maria Affortunato Killed In W. Palm Beach, FL Accident

The crash remains under investigation

Tragic accident that occurred on November 17 in W. Palm Beach, Florida. Maria Affortunato was killed when she was hit by an SUV on the sidewalk in the 1900 block of Okeechobee Boulevard. A 2017 Ford Escape attempted a left turn from the Cricket Wireless parking lot, hit Affortunato, and dragged her underneath the vehicle before coming to a rest. Affortunato was rushed to St. Mary’s Medical Center, where she sadly succumbed to her injuries. An investigation into the incident is ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family of the victim.
