Lannie Hyde lost his life when he was hit by a passenger vehicle while walking along Interstate 59. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency's Highway Patrol Division, Hyde was on foot, close to mile marker 99 when he was hit by a 2006 Ford Focus operated by 28-year-old Micah Anderson. Hyde was tragically declared dead at the site of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
