Kevin Portillo was killed in a head-on crash between Comfort and Fredericksburg in the 900 block. Initial reports indicate a white Mazda sedan carrying four men was traveling north when the driver passed another vehicle in a no-passing zone and slammed into a black Nissan SUV. All five men, including the driver of the Nissan, died at the scene. An investigation into the accident remains underway.
