Driver taken into custody after fatal collision on State Route 27

A tragic accident occurred on February 21 in Spokane Valley when 35-year-old Kasey Kimble was arrested after striking and killing an unnamed pedestrian on State Route 27 (North Pines Road) between East Broadway Avenue and East Mission Avenue. Kimble fled the scene but was later taken into custody on suspicion of vehicular homicide. The investigation remains ongoing. We send our thoughts and prayers to the family.
