Joseph Shaw Injured In Paterson, NJ Accident

Tragic accident that occurred on October 5 in Paterson, New Jersey. Joseph Shaw was seriously injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run motorist on a sidewalk near Broadway and Rosa Parks Boulevard. A van traveling at a  high rate of speed crossed the dividing line in the roadway, traversed a curb, and struck two people along the sidewalk. The 62-year-old driver of the van fled the scene on foot but was apprehended soon after. He was charged with death by auto, aggravated assault by auto, leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, and endangering. The incident remains under investigation.
