Jeffery Smith was injured in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 27 near Farm-to-Market Road 2466. The wreck occurred when a woman was traveling southbound on the northbound side of the highway, when she crashed into another car driven by a 25-year-old woman. Moments later, a third vehicle was struck as the two cars came to rest. Smith was transported to a hospital for treatment. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
