Holly Jo Dunn, a mother of three, was tragically killed after being struck by a hit-and-run drunk driver in the1100 block of Ninth Avenue Southwest. 29-year-old Nicolette Clinkscales fled the scene after the crash but was later apprehended by police. Dunn was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Dunn leaves behind three children, ages 17, 8, and 2. She left my room to walk to the store to take someone a sweater because they were cold. Within minutes of her walking out, Holly was gone. Holly was such a special person. She had the ability to make anyone smile no matter what kind of a day they were having and she would go out of her way to help those she loved. I've missed her so much since she has been gone and I wish that she were still here with us all. It's really heartbreaking to know that the actions of one person being so careless can take away the life of another person in just the blink of an eye. In a moments time, one thoughtless decision changed the lives of so many people in a really big way. One thing about this story that was wrong however is that Holly's youngest child wasn't 2yrs old but rather her youngest little girl was only 5 weeks old when her mama was killed. Sadly she will never know her mom. Holly, rest in heaven. We all love and miss you to this day.
